FAQ

What is the date of this event?
Saturday, June 22, 2024

Where does it take place?
Pheasant Branch Conservancy in Middleton, WI. The start/finish is in Middleton’s Orchid Heights Park located within the Conservancy.

Is there parking nearby?
Yes, you may park at Orchid Heights Park and in the surrounding neighborhood. Consider carpooling if you can!

What time does it start?
Race Day packet pick-up will open around 7:00am and the first runners will head out on the course around 8:00am.

Can I register and pay the day of the event?
Don’t count on it! We’ve been close to capacity the last several years, so please register early to secure a spot!

What does Cup-Free Running mean?
There will not be paper cups at aid stations or at the start/finish. If you think you’ll need hydration on-course (or at the finish!), you are responsible for bringing your own cup, water bottle, or hydration pack. We will have water dispensers at aid stations to top-off your cup or bottle. Water jugs and a fountain are available at the start/finish.

Going cup-free is a significant step to bringing our event closer to zero-waste and being better stewards of our public lands.

Will I get a t-shirt or medals or awards?
In an effort to keep registration fees low, race swag for 2024 is opt-in (for an extra $10) and will be a running cap from Recover Brands (recycled fabrics & sustainable/ethical construction). All participants get an awesome day in the Conservancy and help a good cause!

Will there be an activity after the run?
We are planning our usual post-race celebration with music, light refreshment, and the kids run.

What is your Refund & Transfer Policy?
There are NO REFUNDS for race format changes, event cancellation due to public health concerns or other factors (including weather), or individual participant requests. We are a grassroots fundraiser for a local land stewardship non-profit and all of our expenses are incurred long before race day.

EXCEPTION: A deferral or refund WILL be considered if a participant withdraws due to symptoms of COVID-19, a positive test result, or a close contact with an infected person.
